Well well well, here we are in the throws of December and Christmas is about a week away. Panic sets in as we try and determine what we're going to get our loved ones.
I love making homemade delicious gifts for my friends and family, but even that can be a challenge when it's such a busy time!
This year, I'm giving my friends the ability to make their own deliciousness by filling a jar with ingredients so they can make a batch of white chocolate and cranberry cookies. It's so bloody easy that I almost want to cry.
What you're going to need (this is to make one) -
1 x jar
105g plain flour
3/4 tsp bi-carb soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Card to write the recipe on. I bought mine from Able & Game.
What you want to do is layer the dry ingredients in the jar. I started with the flour and bi-carb and gradually filled the jar with the remaining ingredients. For the person to make the cookies they need 75g melted butter and 1/2 egg. All they need to do is tip out the ingredients and mix well with the butter and egg! You simply bake rolled tablespoons of the dough for 12 minutes in a moderate oven. If you write this out on the card, making cookies will be a bloody breeze.
It should end up looking a little something like this -
How easy. You literally just have to walk to the pantry to create this gift.
What's on my Christmas hit list you ask? I'm hoping Santa brings me Jamie's Comfort Food and Katie Quinn Davies' new book What Kate Ate on the weekend. I'd also take any of these cake stands from Leo & Bella.
